    My first HDR

This is my first HDR trial in HEP 2. The composition is not very good as a lot of tiny flies appeared suddenly while shooting and I just couldn't compose the image properly. I could have included some more space at the RHS. It also took me a lot of time to clean those tiny flies in PP

But, anyway, your opinions about the HDR processing is more important to me than the composition for this particular image. I would suggest you should look at the image in the light box at full size so that the bushes don't seem too detailed

I think you missed a good starting point for your bracketed exposures.

    Hi Binnur,

I think you've done well here - also think that the composition is pretty good, it is a shame that you couldn't get more of the RHS in though.

The only issue for me is the centre of the sun and some of the reflection is completely blown as far as I can see?

Nicely done, very ambitious trying this with moving subjects.

    That works OK.

I always think successful HDR shouldn't be noticeable, just like this image.

With regard to the right side. I wonder about actually cropping a little tighter to remove those two people and a similar amount from the bottom?

    Thanks for the comments

Matt I should have taken shots with -3EC or may be -4EC in order not to get blown out highlights considering that it is a sunset shot and dynamic range is high, but I unfortunatelly my darkest shot was taken with -2 EC.Before this scene I wasn't shooting into the sun, my camera was pointed to the left ot the sun (southwest), that's why I was taking -2,0,+2 shots. When I turned towards sun to get this shot I forgot to set the proper exposure compensation and I took -2,0,+2 shots again As a result , the harsh summer sun and its reflection was blown out There were a lot of people watching the sunset and drinking wine while I was shooting and I got really distracted by their talks Next time I will be more careful

Hi Geoff I'm glad that you find the image natural.

The right side can be cropped as you suggested. It makes a plainer composition but the curve of the cliff is lost that way. Thanks for the suggestion.

it is HDR the way I prefer it... not overpowering but enhancing. The foreground is much better than the bg. But I have no idea on how to solve the setting sun problems.

This is an intelligent application of the technique, Binnur.
In terms of the composition, the couple on the right don't bother me, although as you point out, it would have better to include a little space between them and the edge of frame.

I like it Binnur, it does not have a HDR processed look to it - very natural.

Very nice shot Binnur. I like the detail in the fg, and would not crop the rhs as you may loose the curve of the bay which I like. If it were mine I would be tempted to crop a little off the bottom, but since you were not asking for input on the composition pleas ignore that comment. Great shot!

I"m in no position to provide any technical criticism, Binnur, but the light is lovely.

    Re: My first HDR

I tried HDR once and didn't like it...perhaps later when I have more time between traveling and sitting down in front of the pooter and sleeping. Anyway, I like the colouring of this image, my favourite actually, somewhere between red and orange. I agree with you about the RHS addition but it is too late now. Good PP. Excellent shot.

Nicely done IMO. I like these kind of HDR images to not be too obviously HDR, which your is. On the other had I prefer HDR images of mechanical objects to be obviously HDR while not being too over done. I look forward to your futures HDR's.
