Thanks, Donald. This is full frontal stage lighting. Most of the time there were magenta and orange filters but they rotated the lighting scheme so I just waited until it was mostly full on white. Large Kleigs about 25 feet up and 20 feet out at a 45 degree angle to the stage. This is a handheld shot with a Nikon D810 and a Nikkor 80-400 at 400mm. f/6.3, 1/250 9600 ISO.
The mic position is what it is in a concert setting. I just accept that as a part of the framing.
