Do you know the purpose of the large empty space (shallow depression) over the far side?
It appears to be mostly walled, but with paths, or perhaps waterways, leading to the lowest central point.

Thanks Dave... I'm not aware of it but it could be reserved Government land. Not too sure about it though.
