    Looks good.

I often have my camera set from a previous shot and don't realise that something could have been theoretically set better until it is too late.

Ummm…summer…this is what caucasians do – get tanned on the beach. I love the beach and the sun, but not that much….these are nice shots, Joe. Very summery.

Not bad, Joe...exposure works for me even though at first I thought the lighthouse is overexposed. NOT!

Just as an aside, and for future framing, when a head intersects the horizon, for me it is a dead shot. Above (preferably) or below if that's the best angle you can get, but never through. Just my opinion.

They work well for me, Joe, despite the tricky lighting.

#4 is the weakest of the bunch due to very contrasting light and a somewhat confused overall scene. But all you can do in those conditions is make the best of what is on offer, which you did.

Is the colour slightly off in the last scene? Possibly fractionally on the blue side? But not by very much.

You are obviously talking about tangents. The lighthouse nor the boat (in the subject #2) are not breaking any rules on Tangents, are they?

Thanks Chris. Good advice; but I am not sure which shot you are referring to. I will try to remember this when framing a shot.

Probably. I thought it looked over processed myself.

Is this what you mean, Chris, about a head intersecting the horizon?

But with that scene, Joe, it is a small (distant) head and shoulders which is overridden by the boat, so in that particular case I wouldn't worry about it. But if it was a foreground main subject . . .
