Re: Portraits Revisted
Like the colour version, but unfortunately the over sharpened 'comic' version is OTT for my liking. Can't quite decide if the placement of the hand helps or not. Cropping it loses some of her hair, but it just seems a bit out of place otherwise.

Re: Portraits Revisted
I concur with Ian's opinions - also:
The colour version makes more sense, considering: the large negative mass of white; the lively and frivolous nature of a Female Subject at that age; and the fantastically appropriate pink.
If you've framed the shot already cutting her head, then arguably it is much better to crop tighter and lose that hand and part of her arm: if you have all the head in the frame then consider re-cropping it.
Two examples (3:2 and 1:1 Aspect Ratio) of a new crop for consideration, (assuming that the top of the head is already out of frame):

Re: Portraits Revisted
I concur with Ian and Bill here...colour version for me too...for all the reasons already stated. So +1 to them each.

Re: Portraits Revisted
the color version simply pops with vibrancy , the blk/wht is somewhat classical and the final attempt was an effort to emphasize the hair strands .
