Very nice capture of another world.
A good and fortunate capture Tejal. I presume that's a centipede or something similar getting 'high' on the toadstool.
I always think that toadstools are very photogenic. You have a good combination of focus and oof here which accentuates the middle one. I thought at first that the animal was a caterpillar, but closer inspection shows it to be a millepede. Was this naturally on the toadstool?

Colour for me Tejal,
Nice to see a new genre from you.
Best regards, Dave
If I had been faced with this scene, Tejal, I would have either shot for a focus stack to get everything in focus or chosen an angle/image ratio which just showed the fungi which could be sharply focused. Possibly using a mix of crop and clone on the resulting image.
Alternatively, tone down the highlights on the out of focus areas.
Absolem.
Very nice Tejal!
Perhaps this is why I prefer the colour, because on that, it is not such an issue.
The mono conversion has (as is normal) received a contrast boost which has brought their highlights up to a level which competes with the main subject; the centre group with millipede (two pairs of legs per body segment).
However, I also prefer the colour for the better separation between mushrooms and background, which are otherwise both well, just grey (or gray).

Color for me, nice image.
