Good clear images with perfect exposure from a difficult scene.

I like the no. 4 most. Personally I would clone out all artificial lights in this picture. For me they just look like small white pixels and do not add impressions to the scene.

Robert, I would tend to disagree. To me, they show the immensity of the scene and serve to ground the image.

There are certainly different options when shooting, and there are not rights or wrongs, only preferences.

If I had to pick a favourite, number 8 just sneaks it.
In number 1, I would prefer a bit of cropping on the top and on the LHS.

#8 was almost lost, as the intensity of this strike blew out the highlights all the way around. It took quite a bit of fiddling with the RAW to bring out the details.
