    Norwegian coast after a storm

I recently spent two days on a boat traveling south from Trondheim to Bergen (the Hurtigruten, for those who know Norway). The weather wasn't cooperative--very hazy on day one and stormy on day 2. I had only my little Lumix LX-100 with me. this is my first try at one of the many I took during the stormy morning. Best in the litebox (lytebox?). It required a fair amount of PP. C&C welcome.

Considering the weather you did very well.

I wonder if taking down the bright whites might not further convey the sense of a storm's aftermath.

Difficult scene and very well done. I agree with Chris about the overly bright whites. That is only my opinion.

    Chris and Ole,

thanks for the suggestion. I'll play around with this. Maybe I'll try increasing contrasts in the brights using a luminosity mask rather than just pulling the whites down. Next time I have a chance to get back to PP, I'll try a few alternatives.

I did a lights lum maks on a levels layer and knocked the brightest whites back a tad and a second one to pop the highlights back up a bit..

Nice image and even better when enlarged in lightbox.
