Chris, I'm betting you live on the coast of British Columbia?

I love the textures and form of the derelict tree and brush. Love the birds. If you are used to using Photoshop (or PS Elements) or similar, I would humbly suggest experimenting with moving the lower bird and branch extension up the tree to about halfway. Because the background is so uniform that would be pretty easy. However you may not be like me and messing around with images, which is fine !

    Regardless, a very nice image.

I don't live anywhere in particular though I use a Florida address to avoid specific state tax implications. I live in a Itasca Cambria 30J Motor Home and as much as is humanly possible, I stay where the weather is relatively even Steven. Not real fond of temps exceeding 80-85 degrees F or going much lower than 55-60 degrees F. I've been doing my duty to be sure I am in the US for a couple of months a year, I did vote and now likely heading to San Filipe, Baja, Mexico where I own a small Casita. It's getting a bit hairy in the northern 48 these days. I'll winter there, then head back on a more northerly track late spring. This year, I think Nova Scotia via the San Juans where my late brother lived and my nieces and his widow still live, then the Banff area for a month or so before heading north and east. Cheers!

I think your reasoning is to give more of a uniform size both Eagles. However, the female, the one at the top, is quite noticeably larger than the male. I don't do much messing around with natural elements and in this case because I am so familiar with these two and the nest they've occupied for quite some time now (estimated by the rangers at the St. Marks NWR to exceed 2,500 lbs), it would be too odd to mess any more than I already did by removing limbs from another tree off the left side of the frame, and one OOF limb off the front right.

Fair enough, ccphoto. Some do not feel comfortable in messing around with the image too much. I did not mean, or have inferred in any way, that you should edit the size of either bird, just adjust the positioning of the lower one. You need to stay with what resonates with you, and I fully support that.

I do see the image now.....and it is a fine shot! It's interesting, I've noted for some time that you were a full time RVer...and I play a game in regards to your location. Noting your recent photos, I had you pegged for the South East based on smoke from the fires, the bald eagles suggested Fla., the real giveaway was mention of St. Marks. Keep em' coming.
