Every now and then, I get the urge to try something creative. Sometimes I think it works, sometimes not.

This shot was purely accidental. I was focussing on the birds, though didn't even notice the human until I looked at the file this morning. After looking at it a few times, it began to grow on me.

This is what I ended up with after a little tinkering in PS.

Does it work for you?

It works but I wonder about a slight crop from the right side to give more emphasis to the birds and definitely show that they were the intended subject.

Several options available; including a more substantial crop and going square.

Thank you for the feedback, Brian, John, Maurice, Gary, and Geoff!

Brian's suggestion that it might work as a poster seemed like a reasonable idea, and Geoff's hinting that compositionally, it needed to be cropped in from the RHS also felt right.

I like the standard 1.5:1 aspect ratio. So rather than crop, maybe adding something to 'balance' the image could work - there's a lot of space on the RHS!

I thought the 2 birds were a bit close to the OOF human, but the third bird does a good job of balancing the image, particularly with the text and new crop.
