A very merry...
One of our volunteers in Los Angeles pulled this poodle mix from a high kill shelter late yesterday afternoon. It wasn't until 9:00 PM that she arrived at our house with the dog whom we named "MERRY"
Merry, a young poodle mix, was on the kill list for today which is the reason we pulled her and the reason we named her "MERRY"!
This is the entry image which I always shoot to have a baseline to judge the improvement in our rescue dogs...
Merry is in the wash tub as I post this and we will take a trip to the vet as soon as she is reasonably clean.
Even dirty, she is a pretty little girl...
Stay tuned to see the evolution of Merry into a beautiful young lady. Of course, that may take several weeks due to her discolored coat...

A great big thank you for all you do for the poor doggies. How can anyone resist her sweet face! even dirty. LOL! Can hardly wait to see what you do.

Re: A very merry...
The background and vignette in the second image so nicely complement the subject.

Re: A very merry...
My wife put Merry on her grooming table while she went to get a leash. I was sitting at Merry's level and saw her tilt her head, so I snapped the image. I hope to get one like this when her coat looks better,
She has been washed but, she was so matted that my wife needed to pretty much cut her down to the skin. I will shoot her rescue portrait when she looks better.
Here she is after bath and grooming. Merry was so badly matted that my wife just about had to clip her down to the skin. That is why she is wearing the sweater.
