Re: Guitar: National Resonator Electric Guitar
I just now looked at the physical guitar and all six strings are strung over the top of the barrels.

My apologies then.
It looked to me like they were going "under" instead of over. Probably a little more light in there would make it clearer?

Re: Guitar: National Resonator Electric Guitar
It also looked to me in the photo that the three strings were strung under the barrel.
An additional light source(s) that would create direct reflections on the strings where they meet the barrel would have solved that problem. Unfortunately, there was no more room for another light stand in the tight confines of my makeshift studio. Alternatively, I could have made a third capture to merge with the other two captures. However, considering that this level of detail becomes apparent only when the image is displayed at 100% of the original file size and that the image will never be printed in a large size, doing so would be a great example of diminishing returns.

Re: Guitar: National Resonator Electric Guitar
IMO this would have to be printed large to be appreciated. For the image size viewable on computer screen the detail series presents much better. For that very reason, it's all about the details which can't be seen capturing the entire instrument in an image of this size. But I'm a detail kind of guy ...
