    Rockpool Reflection

I've been under the weather for a few days as the youngest (bless him) passed on a virus which has been very had to shift. Today however I managed to sling my camera and the dog into the car so off we went to our favourite local beach for a walk in the sunshine.

I took the Samyang 12mm because its a fun lens to walk around with and as I always have my iPhone with a 28mm and 56mm I have a decent range of options without much bulk. Luck would have it I spotted a nice reflection in a pool left by the outgoing tide so with the Fuji an inch or so above the water I got the shot below. A bit of a fiddle back home in Lightroom, a bit more in Photoshop and for no other reason than I felt like it I even put a border on...

Looks like a massive rock from that angle.

It is placed centrally but I think there is sufficient difference between the left and right sides of this scene to still work well.

If I could have made it even more symmetrical I would have as I love strongly central compositions. I know they're not to everyones tastes but they feature heavily in my output.

    Thanks for the replies.

Someone on another group pointed out that clouds of this formation are often referred to as a Mackerel Sky for their similarity to the patterns on the back of the fish. Seems rather appropriate to the location.

I was wondering how you came to the title. This makes sense now. A beautiful image.
