Just a couple of days ago New Zealand celebrated their first long-term habitation in the Antarctic. They completely restored their first hut (they recently completed restoration of Shackleton's hut to celebrate the centenary of his expedition). They also held a series of TED Talks from Scott Base and I was searching for them, but alas they are not posted yet.

Having some down time I went on, doing a search on photography. I was taken by a couple of talks that inspired me with their photography and in some cases saddened me with the stories they had to tell. Here are a couple:
