Oh no! I knew I shouldn't have eaten more than I could lift.

Eat only mozzies and you too can have a figure like mine...

Thanks for being in a good mood to show off your prowess at making up stories. I kinda like the duck's butt with that beer bottle cap as an accessory to your sense of humour. Very Aussie. Man o man! I will be missing you people this year...

Excellent series. We used to have one of these in the lab where we worked. Very attractive animals.

Nicely captured and presented, Richard. I don't understand why they are called water dragons. Everywhere we saw them seemed very hot and dry. Though they were along the coast.

The last one is an acceptable shot of a bird butt

    Thanks Dan.
They rarely stray far from water. What you saw in the more arid places were most likely its cousin the Bearded Dragon - they look quite similar but don't often go near water.

The 75-300mm II isn't quite as sharp as the 300mm F4.

I find the Fg dragon in no.3 a bit distracting but a fun series non the less Richard.

I especially like #1 too. I hope my neck doesn't ever get quite that saggy!

I understand that they like waterside vegetation because, if they are disturbed, they can drop out of the tree into the water to escape.

Water dragons certainly do. Bearded dragons (like monitor lizards) scoot for the nearest tree.
