Well, perhaps talking about your reply will help you to understand how my mind works: To me, yours is not really a question. It seems to me to be more like a court brief, a judgment of me with supporting evidence.

    There is no question mark.

Even so, let me try to answer your comment. I guess I was not prepared for the discursive approach I have seen. I really have no idea what you meant in your reply. "Coming at this from the wrong end". What am I coming at? Where am I coming from? Your reply did not answer my question but, instead, seemed to question my question. I do not like that to be honest with you. Although I am disappointed that my original question has not been answered for the most part, I have enjoyed much of the meandering conversation.

In terms of your quotes, Mike already reacted to the first one. I responded to it and it seems like we have moved on.

The second was an attempt at humor.

The third was an attempt at self-deprecating humor. Many people seem to consider my thoughts less than compelling. So par for the course indicates what happens in my life in general.

The last is a conclusion with evidence just as you have presented.

I literally do not get this questioning me or disagreeing with me approach. I did not present an argument. I asked a question. Do the images look more similar or different? Does using the OEM software really offer a discernibly different color palette than Adobe's. Would you choose one or the other considering the images on display? I was not asking a broad question like how we come about our own color palettes. I interact online as part of my hobby and, as such, prefer it to be enjoyable for me. Your original response was not enjoyable for me to read. It was upsetting. Should I not be upset? Only my psychiatrist can know.

Is it your experience that many of the artworks featured in the salon are sold? One reason I ask is that I bought a small photo (about 8 x 10) in Mexico that was in a restaurant where I had eaten. I later contacted the photographer just to let him know why I like it and he responded by explaining that some people dislike it for the very reason that I like it. A perfect example of "to each his own."

    Larry,

It might (or might not) help you going forward to learn that the overall tone of your posts in this thread made me wonder if you were sort of acting like a troll or if you were even being truthful. So, I took the time to google your name, hoping to find the name of the gallery that is currently displaying your photos. I found nothing, which explains why I then asked you about the name of the gallery. Only then you explained that it's not really a gallery, but is instead a salon that happens to display works of art. I've now learned that it's a salon and spa and that it considers its artwork so unimportant that it isn't mentioned anywhere on its very nice website.

My point is that being a bit more forthright and a bit less adversarial from the outset would have gone a long way at least for me and perhaps for others as well. You seem to have the potential to add a lot to our community and I would hate to see that opportunity wasted both for you and everyone in the community.
