    Lens Creep for Dave

I found this band on the B&H website...

It might be the same as you are presently using but, I thought that I would bring it to your attention...

Yes that looks very like what I am using Richard, but as I say, the diameter of my (flash head) one may not be 'quite right'.

I had seen those, but since I had an unused flash band in the camera bag, just thought I'd try it, as it was even cheaper.

This is something I might add on to an order sometime in future.

    Cheers, Dave

I think it might be more applicable for the oldest version of the Nikkor 18-200mm. My wife's newer version has a lock that keeps the lens from telescoping out, but it only works with the zoom set to 18mm.

I use one with my EF 24-105, which developed lens creep early on. It helps. I've been putting off the other fix I have read about--lifting the zoom band to find the adjustment screws. I don't trust the descriptions and worry that I will damage the lens.

It looks useful with the logo and cheap too, but the vegetable rubber band will also do and it comes free with your purchase. I think vegetable is healthy for you too...
