    Seabird Coast

This is a coastline fairly close to Auckland, where you can view many different types of seabird, most migratory.

    Hi Jim:

Are you referring to the Miranda Bird Sanctuary?

Very lovely place....why can't you include some birds you are referring to?

Thanks Nandakumar, but the whole object of the exercise is to show only the coastline using that effect. Won't suit everybody.

    The simplicity works well Jim.

It reminds me of some of those early mornings and evenings leaning on the ships handrails with tinny in hand thinking this is perfection. And in 3 days we will hit Auckland

That gave me a laugh thanks Grahame, although I love Auckland in many ways, it is much, much busier and hectic than in times gone by. Much appreciate your comment about the simplicity. :-)

This is beautiful, by itself; I enjoy seeing birds, that is all

The horizon needs a tweak of leveling. It does not unduly worry me but if you enter it in a competition (and I think you should) someone will pick on it.

    Lovely sense of serenity.

I thought it was a long exposure, nice shot with no wrinkle.

I can linger and look at this again and again and feel the serenity it brings. Really nice...

Very serene. It's surprising how something so simple and with relatively little detail can occupy the eye for so long. Well done, Jim.

Thanks Paul, for picking that up, you have better eyesight than me (even though I have just had the second cataract removed).
Was dubious, but I have now straightened my master copy.
