I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
    Watching the tide roll away

Very nice; the height of the pole levelled with the horizon;was that intentional?

    Nice shot.
It would have deserved a long exposure ... and a monochrome version.

Rob, the pole being level with the horizon does not work well. I think Nandakumar would agree with that. Agree with Jean also. That is only my opinion.
    Cheers Ole

I think the pole should have projected out a bit so that it appears like the onlooker of the scene....

Nice song as reference but I think this needs additional referencing such as "Crash Into Me".

No, I'm actually standing on the rocks to the side of the dock and also looking directly in to the sun, the owner doesn't want me standing on the dock for safety reasons. Just lucky I suppose

It is a long exposure and with a 10ND filter. It was also looking straight in to the sun and no clouds.
I also have in B&W but my wife liked the contrast in the color better.

    F27 for 15 sec.

believe me, I was looking/hopping for a more of a glassy look

I like it the way it is...but my eyes goes straight to the pole being so leveled with the horizon and it bothers me a lot. Anyway, it has potentials. I will extend that pole a little bit if it is mine. It can be done digitally.
