Ian, I would consider a crop. There is a flower top of picture that is cut in half. That is only an example. Try to frame cropping (in this picture especially) by using your fingers to lay out what works and what does not. In other pictures it may be a lot easier as you may have horizontal and vertical lines to aid you. That is only my opinion.

I`m in two minds about this.On my calibrated monitor the colors look unreal:blue of water, lime green of some pads.

Did it really have that depth of color?

I agree with David--the colors look unnatural. I played with it a bit in camera raw, and it looks to me as though one problem is white balance: too blue. Look at the petals, which I assume are actually white in reality. The leaves in the photo are also mostly blue-green, which is not what water lilies look like. I think it is also a bit oversaturated. Just for comparison of colors, this is what is more like the colors I find in water lilies:

Hi Ian I agree with Dan about the WB, it seems a bit on the blue side. IMO It is a crowded composition and cropping about half of the image from the top might give a better composition in pano format

I think that this image is generally over saturated and could benefit from the global saturation scaled down a bit. Then, IMO, it might benefit from a specific lessening along the blue and green lines...

I agree with WB to be corrected.
IMO, this picture shows too much space or not enough. If you want to show flowers crop like Dan, if you want to show the pond enlarge the view.

Nice, heavy on the greens but that's what makes it special.

If you were trying for a realistic shot... you missed it. That being said, I like it.
