    For me, it's just too dark in overall terms. I can see what this is about and think the idea is brilliant. But if you look at the histogram, it is all stacked up at the left. I think a levels adjustment on the highlights and midtones would open it up into a much more dramatic image.

    That works, Brian. You have to keep the petals from over exposing while retaining just enough darkness in the shadows.
