    Meet Blue Poppy

I occasionally get to babysit this little Lady, when her and her big buddy Pepper Joe (Bomber) come to stay over I refer to Inky (Blue Poppy) as my hairy Alarm Clock!. I'm sure both of them have appeared on here previously, no sleep over tonight so I will hopefully sleep well .

For clarity Blue Poppy was her kennel/racing name, Inky is her family name, given to her when she was chosen from the Greyhound Rescue kennels after her racing retirement. You may just be able to make out part of her ear tattoo.

Wonderful dogs! It is a shame that humans treat these fine animals in such cruel ways... Thankfully, there are rescue groups that can help some of these dogs. We have met these great dogs at rescue events and never cease being impressed by them...

I agree Richard, they are both such placid and friendly dogs. These two are both rescue dogs, she did race in Ireland I believe. The male didn't race, though he too has the ear tattoos. I think his size/agility probably went against him from a racing perspective.
