    The 4th Up Close

It's been too long! I broke a small bone and am finding a new home but I didn't miss the fireworks on the 4th. It's one barometer for checking my photo journey progress. This very small town show lasted maybe 20 minutes and was up close! So, when I did my PPing I was thinking abstract and flowers... Hope to get back into the forum swing once moving etc. is over, I've missed it! Cheers, thanks for looking :-)

These are all very nice and the bonus is that they are all very different from each other.

Thanks all - a short but sweet show. I at least got a chance to try everything in the 'tool box' :-)

Good stuff. If you are working in LR or ACR, push your haze filter far to the right and watch that smoke slither away into the BG. When I'm editing fireworks, I am only interested in my white point being set correctly. The black pint be darned to Hades and back :-)

Thank you Peter and Chris. I was so happy when I read your July 4th post Chris to find I had figured out the PPing 'correctly'. Lowering the highlights certainly takes a mediocre shot to something new. Thanks for the Dehaze tip I tried it on few more in LR - it works pretty nicely :-). I also used it to enhance the smoke in a couple of these shots.
