    Eye watering red beehive ginger blossom

    This beehive ginger blossom has starred in a few of my shots. Hopefully I'll be able to document it's journey into midnight black.

    Nice effort, the lower highlights are a bit too harsh and large though.

    A nice image. I saw a small fly near the bottom of the flower. Are these plants carniverous or did the fly just have the misfortune to land on a sticky fluid?

    as far as I know they are not carnivorous.
