After reading Marie's post which says that Tinypic lets B&W images but doesn't let color ones , I tried uploading a B&W image and it worked ! I didn't copy and paste it into a thread as it was a trial. Still no success with the color images though Let's hope that the color images will have the same chance soon ...

I have a difficult time believing that the successful upload of B&W images was anything more than a coincidence, as the technology surely doesn't "know" whether an image is in color. I just now tried uploading a color image, a sepia-toned monochrome and a black-and-white image, and none of them uploaded.

I think you are right Mike as I tried to upload another B/W image but the Tinypic fairies were on to me and scuppered my efforts...!!

Marie - I was able to successfully upload a colour image to TinyPics just a few minutes ago; it's at the bottom of your steam tractor post.

Of late I've only had success uploading pictures that I've already downsized via my image resizer program.

Strange behaviour from TinyPics - my uploaded image in #44 is a full size 7360 x 4912 pixels.
