Neat Little Diffuser-Reflector
I am always searching for smaller and smaller camera/flash combinations to get decent shots of the families that adopt our rescue dogs.
I purchased this diffuser reflector because it fits very well on my Canon 270EX II and combined with the little flash makes a very small package which may fit in a shirt pocket.

The little diffuser on a bounced flash (in this case a 420EX) also produces some pretty fair lighting for grab shots like this.
This was done in a very dark room with my 7D2 and 17-55mm f/2.8 IS lens with the 420EX pointed straight up. However, my setup for this type of shooting, when I am visiting peoples homes, has evolved to the Canon Powershot SX-50 HS with the Canon 270EX flash and this tiny reflector diffuser.
I really like the size/price/quality ratio of the SX-50 HS camera and the fact that it has an eye level viewfinder. I simply cannot function with an LCD viewfinder in bright light.

I like the eye contact of both here and the skin colour. The dog is the accessory I suppose being so little compared to the towering dominance of the couple. Cute.

Re: Neat Little Diffuser-Reflector
Thanks for the post Richard. The lighting on that shot does look good for such a simple set up. Very good really. I found something very similar on ebay uk. One having an aluminium coated top reflector inside at circa £15. Another much like your price that looks to use white in the same area inside. I don't like using cumbersome gear and various soft light flash approaches do feel like that to me. They seem to cover a number of flash light sizes.
