    My wife Cheyenne

Hello, just found this fourm not long ago and joined. Was kind of hesitate at first, with all the talent here and me being a newbie.
I'm new and willing to learn all I can.

Nice focus on the eyes, perhaps a bit too much DOF though; the out of focus areas (necklace/tattoo) are too distracting.

Yeah, got the same thing from another fourm. I have learned all I know from YouTube videos and I guess I picked up some bad habits with all the videos that talk about shooting wide open all the time. I have started using some other apertures.
Thanks and look forward to posting and learning from this fourm.

Good eye contact. I agree with john regarding the DoF. A little more detail in the background would help.

I have viewed several shots of your wife in your threads The poses seem to formal.
In this thread shot 2 shows more relaxed pose and that is one of your best.

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing. We just open the phone and pick a pose. I appreciate your feedback and would love to hear some suggestions.

Just a point, but does your wife never look at the camera ?
There is no eye contact whatsoever. in the second photo in the next thread she is looking over the camera

Just an idea. It is a bit tight at the top so I wonder about going the other way and cropping even tighter and a similar amount from the right side? Cropped like that the right side softness doesn't seem to notice so much and she appears to then be looking more towards the camera.

    I agree with Geoff,

I'd crop the top down to just remove the rubber band holding her hair up and the RHS until it's just touching her shoulder.

I think that positions her eyes better in the frame.

    Cheers,
    Dave
