I would not use the clone tool for this fix; Photoshop's Spot Healing Brush or Healing Brush are far better suited for such a minor repair in an isolated area of the image. These will blend the tones and colours of the surrounding pixels. The Clone Tool transfers pixels and when the colours are not a match, you get the blotched effect you are seeing here. Often a very soft brush helps when cloning as the edges are not sharp and blend in better.

Look at the histogram, especially the black point and white point when adjusting the exposure.

Was gonna take some shots at work today, even left myself a note on the 'studio table' - but work got in the way

May be tomorrow, my time is more my own tomorrow.

    Apologies, Dave

In the early days of my Navy photo career, the Navy Used to issue us glasses if we needed them (it probably still does). The downside of this is that the old issue glasses looked pretty dorkey but, the upside for photographers was that most navy photo labs had a box of various size frames without lenses. Since most folks wore the issue glasses, substituting an appropriate size frame without lenses solved the reflection problems

Actually it solves a second issue too; refraction. When a person wears glasses, they bend the light and depending on the prescription and angle of the shot, glasses will change the size of the objects behind them. The eye can get larger or smaller and there can be a bit of a strange look at the edges of the glasses affects the shape and position of the side of the face.

This may seem trite; however I prefer subjects w/o glasses.
