    Christmas Presents

My wife gave herself a new sewing machine for Christmas with which she did this quilt for our son in law. He is a dedicated angler, hence the fish motif...
    Christmas Presents
I gave myself a Canon 6D Mark ii. I wish I could say that I shot this with the 6D2 but, it won't arrive until tomorrow...
I can see that I need a way to show the quilt without the wind ruffling it. I will need to devise away to do that; since, I am sure that my wife will be producing many more quilts as I will be producing many images with my new camera.
She already has patterns for a new quilt and I have plans to shoot the Christmas Night Celebration in San Diego's Balboa Park on Friday. I am primarily interested in exploring the high-ISO capabilities of the 6D2 and possibly doing some time lapse video stuff

    Very nice quilt.

    Shoot indoors?

then you can just turn down the lights

    Seriously, enjoy the 6D.

Certain members here want to know which sewing machine your wife got herself.

Outdoor shooting of quilts is quite problematical as you've found out. Controlling the light is problem number one followed by controlling the wind. Ask me how I know. I've had my best luck shooting my wife's quilts indoors using a light my son-in-law left with me when he moved to Japan. The back drops and stands help a lot too as keeping the quilts planer is important.

Nice looking quilt, has she made many of them?
