Apparently I'm doing a fungus series: Pancake

I had no intention of doing a series. But I seem to be wandering down the garden path to one. They are growing quickly!

This one reminds me of bubbles in a lava lamp. It might help if you brightened the main growth a little bit and toned down those on the left of frame.

As clean as most natural things. Following the food chain down one soon comes to the conclusion we all eat converted compost.

Keep it up, the subject is well worth exploring Besides, I get to see what grows in your bit of the planet.

Do you have a fungus season in the tropics? I had never thought about it and just assumed they were always present, different species growing the sporulating parts at their own time.

Okay, not being a scientist I can only give you my observations. Our part of the world is populated by indigenous and colonizer animals and fauna. Both of the groups work with the seasons.

Indigenous to the wet / dry cycle. Colonizer to the traditional temperate climate four seasons.

What first caught my attention was the changing of the leaf colours just before they fell off. Seems that the dry season works on the local trees trhe sakme way Fall works on them in Canada.

Both the photos and the comments on the nature of the fungi are very interesting. Thanks for sharing!
