Great capture Brian...
Superb Brian! What's the beastie?
And the next question is what is that robberfly eating? I can't make it out but there are some very tiny mites also around its meal.
quite a capture!
Wow, excellent capture Brian.
Nicely captured.
Looks like some form of bug, Brian, but I wonder if it is the larval stage of something? Although it does appear to have fully formed wings and clubbed antennae like many small beetles. The wings look exceptionally long so I'm not really sure what it might be.
It is a beetle, Brian.
Having looked at it again, I now have overcome my few doubts concerning the visible wings and lack of a hard wing case covering the abdomen. If you look carefully you can see that the wing cases are actually open; so this one was probably a beetle in flight when it was caught.
Excellent shot!!!
False modesty aside... I'm good. If you want to see excellent follow this Chris Connolly link.
