Helpful Posts: You just can't fake good natural lighting. There is a lot we can do with PP but there's no substitute for the real thing. I was headed for bed last night when I looked out the window and saw this scene. It has been cloudy/rainy for a week.

How many cameras have you worn out living in AK? I was there for 10 days back in 2014 and added quite a high number of clicks to my shutter count. If I lived there, I'd probably be spending a lot more on camera equipment due to overuse. That's a really nice shot, especially if it's from your house. Officially jealous.

I don't have that sort of view outside my window.
But yes, photography is all about light, nothing else is anywhere near as important.

You guys are blessed. We had a holiday a number of years ago in Wyoming/Yellowstone /Tetons. It is on a scale we don't see here in Surrey, 30 miles from London!
