On the premises of an abandoned house
An eerie place it is!
People and animals shun coming here.
One can hear strange sounds in the house at night as if someone is thumping around there, screeching, screaming, hallooing. And floor boards produce harsh cracking sounds.
Sonya, the girl, can't feel at her ease though I do my best to appease her.
She wants to run away but I want to take my photo.
In our wanderings we are accompanied by our pets: a dog and three cats, but they won't enter the spelled place and are waiting for us on the rural highway.

Re: On the premises of an abandoned house
You write about the house, but in my view, this is a shot of the girl. The house is out of focus and is little more than the background of the shot.
My thoughts on this image are that if the house is indeed a significant element in the image, it should be sharp and in focus. If the girl is the subject, then concentrate on the girl and use the background much as you have, but cropped back to accentuate your subject. That would mean cropping out the sky and much of the left hand side of the image.

Nice shot. I noticed you didn't list your location, are haunted abodes the norm in your area? I only ask because some regions are notorious for such tall tales and wondered if its some traditional story being passed down through the generations.

To Shadowman
No historical legends are involved here. When houses are deserted and fall in decay, people start telling eerie legends about them.
I love rural deserted abodes, they are so romantic, and they can tell stories!
Here is the front part of this house:
Isn't it beautiful and storytelling?
