Nice concept--there are two compositional alterations that might help realize your concept:

1. crop from the left so that the geese are not centered--this gives the goose looking right more to look at and is consistent with the way most western folks enter a photo--left to right, unless they have seen it all at one glance when things are centered.

2. add a little to the top to give the geese a larger canvas in which to be looking. This can easily be3 done in post given your background is simple.

you might also consider getting rid of a few of the white dots in the water, not the feathers. Particularly those between the necks of the geese.
