Sheep can be human too
We don't have any zebras down here. But we do have zebra crossings. Used by people. So, why shouldn't we also have stock crossings for sheep and cows? After all they actually do cross tracks used by vehicles.
Haven't made it to human portraits yet. Thought I would start small and gradually work up to the real thing. My motive in the second post was to try and capture some of the relationship between Mum and her bub heading off somewhere. It was an opportunistic hand held shot taken down at the lane as I was holding the front gate open for Mrs Ucci to drive in.

I like the stripes of light in the bg of the 2nd image and the nice back light for the sheep. I think it would also work in b+w with some post processing.

I like the second one a lot Ken. I like the way the OOF sheep in the BG add context.

Re: Sheep can be human too
I like the second. My only suggestion is to get a little lower so that the perspective is less like that of anyone passing by.
A nice thing about photographing many animals is that they don't give a damn and don't demand a model release.

In days of old when companies at least pretended to care about their customers and handed out calendars at christmas time, these are the types of images you might see on some of the rural-oriented businesses.
