Elephant and Stormy Sky
It's not very often that conditions combine for a photograph. Good lighting, dark skies and a magnificent elephant. It was all a bit rushed, I was looking for a decent subject against the sky as the light was great. Came around a corner and there is an elephant crossing the Khwai River, panic - park and shoot!

Re: Elephant and Stormy Sky
Looks good, Clive; although I wonder about cloning out the grass tips in the bottom left corner? There is a sufficient area of grass in the right corner but just those tips looks strange to me.

Clive, very nice. That is a big animal. Probably the biggest we have in our area are the bison.

Nice shot. I love how the sky colour mirrors the water.
Removing the grass tips on the left as a previous poster suggests may give a stronger lead in to the image from the left, but of course it’s your call

Re: Elephant and Stormy Sky
Thanks everyone, I agree with the grass tips in the bottom left. I looked at the photo for ages and didn't pick it up.
