Need Advice

I have a friend who is a yoga instructor and performs on silks. She recently asked me if I would be able to capture some photos of her while she is performing both yoga and on the silks. I have no clue where to start. The silks are usually an arial performance.

Any trick and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Indoor or outdoor, I've photographed both and your position to a light source can be used effectively to control ISO settings, visual effects, and style.

I'm guessing it will be outdoors. Indoors would be much more easy to capture, I think.

I also really enjoy this photo. But my concern would be how do I get to the same level as the athlete if they are moving up and down the silks?

A bit awkward but camera on a monopod and fired remotely, a step stool if allowed. Regarding the monopod idea, a light camera for one handed action. A drone would be cool.
