Flower bud

Not sure what this is. I took it at the National Botanical Gardens in Wales, and it was in a greenhouse, so was from a warm climate. I thought it was an alium at first, but the bud shape is wrong.
Very bright surroundings, so a three exposure bracket, and darkened the b/ground with selective saturation and luminosity adjustment.
I'm also using this to trial the Postimage site; somebody suggested t his recently as an alternate to Tinypic, which has given me problems in the past.

Interesting--the small image is from Postimage, the larger from Tinypics. Must be doing something wrong in Postimage.

I wonder if it could possibly be an Agapanthus bud rather that an Allium?
