Dreaming Of Chasing Balls
Shadow, our daughter's 15-year old Labrador still likes to chase balls but, we do more rolling the ball than throwing it in deference to her advancing age...
I shot this using my Sony A6400 with 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens at 70mm - ISO 320 1/25 second @ f/5.6 The relatively inexpensive and lightweight kit lens (for full frame cameras) does a creditable job on the little A6400 camera...

Re: Dreaming Of Chasing Balls
What a beauty. Obviously, reaching 15 years old for a large breed pup, she is well cared for and loved.

Re: Dreaming Of Chasing Balls
Shadow is definitely well cared for and has battled cancer and had extensive spinal surgery but is still going strong, if not as fast as she was. She is one of my daughter's four dogs - each has its own story:
Shadow was a breeding bitch for a legitimate breeder who needed to decrease her number of Labradors. She became a surrogate mother to our Goldendoodle.
Chico, the Maltese and Rocky, the Yorkie:
Chico was left in an apartment when his owners just moved. He had no food or water and almost died. He was a physical and emotional wreck when my daughter and her husband adopted him. It took a long time for them to convince him that this won't happen again...
Rocky was turned into a shelter with a bad hip and an enormous growth on her back. She was on the next day kill list... The hip was surgically repaired and the growth turned out to be a hernia which was repaired. She is a loving little girl who just adores her parents...
Duke the Doodle...
Duke was the only male in a litter born to a homeless person under a freeway bridge in San Diego. My daughter saw his puppy picture and called us to say, "We want him!" They are all very happy together. Duke gets to go for a long walk with ball tossing every morning and he visits us frequently for a slumber party with our dogs and to play in our big yard...

Re: Dreaming Of Chasing Balls
Last week we were playing tennis. At the home next to the court resides a sweet old dog who patrols the property. As we were playing I noticed his head moving back and forth following the tennis ball. Fact of the matter is that he was following it better than I was. We lost in straight sets.
