Any guideline to create a .cht file using Rez Checker Target?

    Hello!

With experts guidelines here, last time I solved my first camera profiling problem.

This time I am trying to create a camera profile using Rez Checker Target using Argyll CMS. To create a .ti3 file it needs .cie (which I already measured and created) and .cht (image recognition information) file. Now this is the problem, argyll does not has the .cht file in reference folder.

Question 1: Isn't it possible creating an icc profile other than 21 test charts supported by argyll?

Question 2: if it is possible creating a profile using any color checker, is there any guideline possible how to create the .cht file? technically "scanin -g image.tiff chtfile.cht" is not working for Rez Checker Target, creating only REF_ROTATION 0.269476, X_LIST 272,Y_LIST 167, which should not be right at all, and no X Y Z values.

    Please help.

    Hi Bipul

I'm afraid I can't help you directly but I would suggest you try contacting Graeme Gill directly. You can do this through his "Contact Me" link on the home page of Argyll Software. I found him to be quite approachable when I asked about something.

Thanks Dave, I am really thinking how just we can use any color checker- no matter with different pattern in it in Argyll CMS. I will contact Graeme Gill.
