Shot taken in an area of Miami Beach using a rented Fujifilm XT-30 camera with 35mm lens. This was my second time using a mirrorless camera, first time was a few years ago using Olympus EPL-1 which I lost on a bus while traveling. I started out shooting with smaller cameras and always liked the flexibility; although digital zoom cameras never gave me the quality I was looking for moved up to DSLR.

I like mirrorless cameras but they always had features that gave me limited performance, having one with interchangeable lens capabilities helps but the other issues were quickly draining batteries and slow shutter response, I had those issues in the past with the Olympus camera and had similar issues with the Fujifilm, I've adopted a two battery system with my DSLR so would definitely do the same if I purchased the Fujifilm.

Hi John - You've been spotted taking your photo! Do you ever get a request for a copy? And yes, I like this one because of the color combination, layout. When an image has me going back and looking for more detail, I know then that, for me anyway, the image is well done!

    Hi Sandy,

Yes, I often get requests for a copy which I'm happy to provide. I was shooting with a 35mm lens so I was quite a bit closer to my subject than normal, I was testing out the Fujifilm XT-30 and only rented one lens. Thanks for commenting.

I really like this one especially the colors - tan, black and the red and blue in the window!

Nice one John - one of the stronger images you have posted lately. Nice leading lines to the end of the "tunnel and the the direction of the cyclist enhances that (a good example of there shooting the back of a person works well compositionally). Perhaps a bit heavy handed in the vignette, but overall a good strong shot.

    Hi Manfred,

Thanks for commenting, I was able to line up the shot and time the movement of the cyclist as I saw him approaching in my peripheral.
