But Nicolas... is it from here I remember you ? Or from DGrin ?

Are you OK in the middle of this "thing" ? Terrible in Italy but Portugal fakes the numbers, so...
    Well... liars = politicians !
Not to speak about that one. Yes, the one who in your mind now

    Re: April 13 - April 19

Today Sunday the 19th, I went out in the morning with the 7 + Nikon 50mm f/1.4 (bought 1974) and made a few shots @5.6
Just that. No, I also made some adjustments to the ISO when I thought it would be necessary so it wouldn't go to my max imposed limit of 8.000 in darker areas.
The photos are excellent and I like this lens. However, I must be careful when shooting because one has to focus manually, right ?
Photos have been worked in LR. They are clear and limpid !

For me, Antonio, that last image is the best of the recent batch.

Well composed and with good depth to the scene.

    Thank you Geoff !
I definitively like wide angles very much... but not this one.
When I bought the Nikon 28mm back then in 74, I was thinking perhaps that wide angles were not for me but years have passed and... here I am, liking them !

But I don't like this one at least for now as first impression. The vignetting is huge and the sharpness is not that great. I am used to the fabulous Sony 24 GM !

The photo bellow has not been worked.

Maybe cropping tighter from both sides to give something like 5 x 4 ratio may help to solve the problems and concentrate that scene a little closer to the archway?

At last something a bit different !
As I do these days, this afternoon I walked on a road with very few people and cars.
This guy was running his bicycle down the hill and I asked if I could shoot him trying a sequence of photos. The sequence did not run perfect but I got this one. Not very good I know. I am sure I will be able to do something better.

Also on the bottom and on the walk, I net mister Gladstone.

That looks so clean and tidy, Antonio, is it in a showroom situation?

Really admire your work with the portfolios Antonio. Like you I am setting myself goals to take at least one photo each day and I have started a meetup.com group with whom I share that task. I must say that some days are easier to be inspired than others! So far it has been almost four weeks and tomorrow our lock-down is eased slightly.

    Keep up the awesome work.

    Re: April 13 - April 19

Geoff and Trev, thank you for your comments.
The house is not a showroom situation but a true house I have sent to repair. It is almost done except a few details here and there.
Geoff, I am not sure if you are referring to the house, the photo or both, when you say that it is clean and tidy. Tell me please because I am interested in that tinny detail. Thank you !

Trev, I leader a small group of 7 or 8 and I have done a Skype with them a few days ago. We will repeat every month.

For me, it is rather a big effort to implement these ideas. I sometimes take a long time to understand certain procedures, looking where the commands are... whatever.
But now after a few attempts the app is working fine and... it is free ! Excellent !

I do have another work I have been doing for 5 years now which is called Projecto 33. It is a project about photography which has been done every third Tuesday of the month hence 33, except on August.
In it I invite a photographer to show his/her work. It has been running for 5 years now when it was stopped by the virus. It was held in a room and the average assistance was about 32 people.
No support whatsoever. I am mad !

However, I am going to make a fresh start of it on the 15th May 2020. It will be public but... in Portuguese of course.

If you want I can invite you and you can have a glimpse of it.
Make yourself friend of the Facebook page of Projecto 33 so you can click and be in the meeting. (hope it works well).

I forgot to say that the meeting is at 21.30 TMG

    April 20 - April 26

    To end the week
Today I make an experiment with the great Sony 135mm GM. It not a professional experiment, no. Far from it. Just to be sure that the lens doesn't focus at extreme distances when changing the position of the switch. It is so obvious isn't it ? Yes, I know, but never mind.
Thank you for viewing and commenting.

Well done for a not-pro test!
The lens looks good so far. You performed it because you noticed any flaw?

Maybe a subjetc in the field could be a game changer here!

    From here Antonio,
I was a fan of your landscape thread!

answering breafly, yes I'm ok, while, of course, concerned. At home waiting to turn back to work, if it will exist ...
My wife got it, and passed even without a bit of fever, likely as it happened to me and our toddler. I can hardly imagine how we can have missed it.

    I'm stuck to Canon gear!
6D with 17-40 "welded" on it most of the time, but I've macro, portrait and tele-zoom too

    Ciao!

    Hi Nicola ! Y're OK I hope !
Oh no. Just a test to evaluate the performance at different positions of the button
About the other picture - I stopped walking in that area as there are many people. Now I will drive somewhere else just 4/5 kms away, with different scenarios. I will show the photos later !
    Take care ! Cheers !

    April 27 - May 3

Today, Tuesday the 30th April 2020 afternoon, we went for a walk after a 10m drive. As expected, we met just one person, a young girl walking in a pathway. We just moved afar.

The day was overcast as I walked among a field of flowers to make a few shots of this fascinating fallen tree.
When at home as it happens now every so often, I worked on this image with no complete satisfaction of the result.
I must get back to the photographs taken, review and trash some.

    2020 Project 52 by Antonio Correia - 2rd Quarter

A few hours later... in fact @ 1h in the morning and slowly done I came to this. A simple shot without anything special. Kind of post card !
