CALIFORNIA LOCKDOWN! I take a quick drive…

A couple of my images from a rare outing today in the beautiful SoCal December Fall, just as the state descends into yet another lockdown.

It was nice to get outside for a little while and take a short drive away from home to grab some scenics in the sun (that's Route 66 below the hill)!

Both good but I wonder about cropping the first one at the top? Maybe something like 3 x 2 ratio, or even widescreen?

Thanks Geoff, that's a completely legit observation. This was shot with a Nikon Coolpix L810 (I like it for the extreme zoom) so it's not DSLR ratio out of the box.

That said, I left the sky uncropped because the point of my outing yesterday was to break out of the house after so long indoors and get some exposure to nature! That extra sky expanse reflects the freedom I felt up on the hill in the warm sun......

Seems to, even after some correction. Shot through the living room window... Let's blame it on smog!
