Enjoying the spring weather, although we are below normal for rainfall which could mean an ugly summer.

Not to mention the fence posts, hose pipes and that big rock which others here would have you clone out immediately.

More seriously Sharon, the image is over-sharpened unacceptably to my eye - look at the bright halo around that top flower head against the mountain ...

I love the plant and the environment but I think it could use a different crop. I would change it to a portrait crop eliminating the area right of the rock and below the dark area in the dirt below the plant. This would make the view vertical and bring the focus to the plant. As it stands the strong horizontal lines of the mountains and the vertical lines of the plant compete for attention. ( Just my view as to how I see it.)

You are most correct, overall the image is a bit crap.

Although I do like the rock.

There are so many beautiful ingredients in this image.... yet troubled by some objects ; accepting those limitations, it is a lovely image

Personally, I'm not troubled by the "objects" in this image. They're all part of the environment. Cropped Version of Sharon's image. .

When I look at this area of the photo I see three images I circled created by the elements. On the right, it looks like a native American looking towards the left. In front of him in the middle circle appears a horse sitting. The last circle appears as a person dressed in Asian or Persian garb. My wife saw it when I pointed it out. I wonder if others do as well.

Sharon - I agree with Ted on the oversharpening of the image; the halo is a give-away, but overall the image looks a bit too "crunchy"; have you increased clarity or used the dehaze? The blue / cyan tones, especially in the background do creep in with too much dehaze.

I also agree about some of the distracting elements; the ones that bother me the most are the green and black edging material. I can live with some of the fence, but the guy wire at the top left is also a distraction. I find the crop on the left a touch too tight and I would definitely not go in the direction Daniel is proposing with either of the two crops. They cut out too much content and the context it provides.
