Lake Elizabeth

Lake Elizabeth formed when a landslide blocked the East Branch of the Barwon River on 17th June, 1952.

Had a lot of trouble getting the lighting (and colour) right in this series. Steep wooded sides to this end of the valley so a dark foreground with all the shade, and a bright or dark sky changing by the minute. Showers too to add to the fun.

A nice series. I prefer the first image of the set as it has the best visual balance / composition, in my view.

The lighting is interesting with the overcast sky providing some beautiful light.
