An 'Uncle' in the Philippines
A relative of my wife as we were leaving Bairan are in Cebu -- I got him through the open window of our loaned Toyota Inova with my 1996 Pentax MZ-5 + 28-70mm f4 SMC Pentax-FA lens, fill-in flash and outdated Fuji Reala 100 fill rated 80 ASA and print scanned. The flash balanced the strong daylight well.

HI Pete,
Seems you had a nice time there.

Well the MOSQUITOS had a FEAST on my legs - I had 41 bites on one leg alone after ONE DAY -- then there are the ANTS and the HUMIDITY -- my 24mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss Jena lens had condensation under the front element but dried out back in UK but my 28-70mm f4 SMC Pentax-FA lens has still got some under the rear element.
:)
Re: An 'Uncle' in the Philippines
Peter, I love the Philippines and the Filipino people. I spend six months there many years ago and had some very good friends who took me all over Luzon.
One of the most interesting trips was to the mountain city of Baguio during the Grand Canao (note I don't know how to place the ~ over the letter n so the word is pronounced "canyao") in which many of the indigenous peoples of the Philippines display their culture.
