a purr-fect pic.....and in many places the UK for instance and some places in the US its illegal to de-claw a cat

They are pretty good with the furniture, they have their own scratching post! (I have a few wounds though :D)

As Matthew says I think delcawing is illegal here unless its for medical purposes.

Samantha, our Siamese cat was de-clawed. She talks a lot and will answer you at every opportunity she can. She is 13 years old this year. She sleeps with my husband... I did not know that de-clawing is illegal that is why I said what I said...

Matt sorry to hear about you being sick! Hope you are feeling better. Great shot of the kitty. I pictured you as a dog lover somehow the cat does not fit the image I painted in my head. You out in the beautiful countryside with your faithful dog at your side as you take pictures of incredible scenery.......... :D

I do love dogs as well Barbara :) Growing up we had plenty of dogs (mainly for hunting) and there were strictly no cats allowed in the house as my mother is allergic :D. But I had a few pet cats which lived in my grandmothers house.

I'm quite a busy person and don't have the time thats needed to dedicate to a dog, cats sort of do their own thing and don't need so much attention. Plus they kill all the spiders for me :D

Great pose and capture Matt. The eyes do jump out the viewer at first, almost giving it a bit of menacing feel...then the relaxed posture of the cat on the floor softens the overall feel to me.
