A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
It was late October and days were short as the sun doesn't come into the valley for long. But it was bright and sunny in the middle of the day and it was delightful to be out.
Encouraged by you all, I have processed these into more vibrant images than I would previously. C&C welcome as I try to improve my skills

It feels a bit like you were neither one or the other and got a bit stuck in the middle of those two positions.

+1 to Donald's comments.
The last one is superb!
Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
Simply awesome set of images...... in the first image, is the road not at the exact center of the two rows of trees? Or did you take an angle to include the bench within the frame? Except for its lack of symmetry all are simply great!!! :)
Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
Another vote for the fourth one Kaye :)
Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
The first and last are awesome. I agree with Donald's comments on no.1. Still a nice image. What a lovely time and place.

Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
All very nice Kaye :) I agree with Donald about brightening the dark parts of the trees in #1.
Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
Donald has already said what I was thinking; but a couple of alternative thoughts about the first image.
Cropping to a different size ratio, like 4 x 5 for example, and losing a bit from the bottom (maybe a fraction from the top) will appear to change the shooting position. And as an alternative to brightening the shadows you could try darkening them slightly to produce a high contrast scene.
Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
Thanks all for commenting. I was pleased with them too and take your points on the first image. I have lots of that avenue of trees (from both ends - it was a lovely place to walk (and cycle))), so will take another look at the processing and see if there is one with more symmetry and also play with the ratio.
Re: A bright autumn day in Aix les Bains
I also agree with Donald on the brightening of the dark of the trees in #1. The rest are good too but my vote is for #4. That is an excellent shot followed by #1.
