Big double dipper
The big dipper from Kintla Lake, Glacier NP, Montana. Canada is just over the ridge so you see the Big Dipper over Canada and a reflection of the Dipper in Montana. Spending the month of October as a Volunteer until snow closes the campground.

Damn, ISO 3200? It's a good thing that 7D can compensate! I think the second photo could have done with triple the shutter duration and a significant decrease in ISO (maybe 800-1600). I suppose it's a good idea to stay at or below 15 seconds to keep stars from streaking.
Go big or go home; long star trails or fixed stars. That's my philosophy :)

I especially like the first shot. I don't ever remember seeing a star shot which included reflections of the stars in a lake...
