Nice effort, did you have to crop this shot at all?

Normally there is a single main subject or area of focus in an image, and here you have two; the two men in the foreground, that are not connected in any way. This results in a composition that is not as strong as it could be. The crop is a bit awkward as well and the background is rather busy and distracting.

I quite like the composition. I wonder if converting to monochrome the distracting background could be lessened a bit. Just a thought.

It depends on what the purpose of the image is. Was it trying to make a statement?

But I agree that the impact is diliuted by the distracting background.

I see that it was shot at f4 on a 16-70 lens, equivalent 58mm. I don't know what the maximum aperture is on the lens that was used. Going to f2.8 or greater could have thrown the background out of focus. Or, maybe a longer lens, and shooting from farther away could have blurred the background. Converting to B & W would not, of course do anything to the background, but it would offer the chance to make the main figures stand out more in the image.

Thank you Manfred for your comments. You are right I have two main subjects. I think their faces drew my attention. They don't have happy faces. I think they have questions on their minds. I think the White man is local and the black one is immigrant. They are both carrying burden of life on their shoulders. I am sure the black one's is heavier. I am trying to upload the uncropped one but l have difficulty to do it

Thank you Donald for your comments. I have a Sony Carl Zeiss 16-70mm f4 and I couldn't open the aperture wider.

Two (or more) individuals can be turned into a single subject by photographing them in a way that they are very close together or even overlap. Unfortunately, this cannot be fixed in PP.

I like the idea, but it will not work for this image.
